Men's Soccer, Women's Volleyball Earn NCAA Tournament Invitations

The New York University men's soccer and women's volleyball teams each garnered at-large invitations to their respective NCAA Division III championship tournaments, it was announced on Monday morning.
NYU's men's soccer team (13-3-2) will host three other teams in the first two rounds Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. The Violets will open with a first-round match against Roger Williams University on Saturday at a time to be determined. A fan bus will be provided.
Meanwhile, the NYU women's volleyball team (32-6) will travel to Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, and face Hunter College in the New York Regional first round on Thursday, November 9, at 3:30 pm. Eight teams will compete in the first three rounds at Stevens Tech from November 9-11.
The NYU men's soccer team captured its first trip to the NCAA's since being reclassified as a Division III team in 1982, and its first first invite since the Violets earned a spot in the Division I bracket in 1972.
The Violets will play Roger Williams University (13-6-2), the Commonwealth Coast Conference on Saturday. In the other first round match at NJIT, at-large invitee Middlebury College (11-5-1) will face Liberty League champion St. Lawrence University (11-5-2). The winners of those first-round matches will square of Sunday, November 12, at NJIT at a time to be announced.
The NYU women's volleyball team will be making its fifth straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and seventh overall when it faces Hunter. The winner of that contest faces the winner of Vassar College (25-11) and Washington & Lee College (27-7) in the second round at 4:30 pm on November 10. The New York Region final will take place at 7 pm on November 11.
