Golf's Krainson Captures UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

10/17/06

New York University junior Adam Krainson captured the University Athletic Association Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award Tuesday.

Krainson became the second consecutive Violet honored by the UAA and the third overall this autumn.

Krainson finished tied for second individually at the Violet Classic on October 14-15 in Larchmont, NY, compiling a two-round total of 152. This included a final-round tally of 74, the lowest score posted by a Violet as NYU bested 10 others schools to win the team championship.

The team championship was the Violets' first in six meets during the fall portion of their schedule.

NYU returns to action in the spring, when it takes part in the Johnson & Wales University CAT Classic in Weston, Florida, on March 16 and 17.
