Golf's Pharr Feted as UAA Athlete of the Week

New York University senior captain John "Pepper" Pharr garnered the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award after a record-setting effort at the Hamilton-Shenandoah Invitational.

Pharr shot a single-round school record 67 (-5) on Sunday en route to capturing the Hamilton-Shenandoah Invitational title by five strokes this past weekend. The senior from Buffalo, NY, shot a four-under 140 for the tournament.

Courtesy of Pharr's performance, the Violets finished second out of 28 teams.

Pharr and the Violets will return to action Saturday and Sunday, October 14-15, at the Violet Classic being held at Hampshire Country Club in Larchmont, NY.
