96 Student-Athletes Awarded UAA Honors

96 New York University student-athletes were named University Athletic Association Winter Sport All-Academic. The selections were announced on Friday, March 10, in Rochester, NY.
The men's fencing team produced the most honorees with 18, while the women's fencing and swimming teams and the men's indoor track & field team had 13 representatives each. Both the men's swimming team and women's indoor track & field team had 11, while the women's basketball team totaled seven All-Academic honors. The wrestling team and the men's basketball team produced six and four honorees, respectively.
As a whole, the UAA winter honor roll included 503 student-athletes from all eight participating institutions. To receive All-Academic recognition student-athletes must have completed at least on year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
