87 NYU Student-Athletes Earn UAA Winter Sport All-Academic Honors

Eighty-seven New York University student-athletes have received University Athletic Association’s Winter Sport All-Academic honors. To be eligible for this award, the student-athlete must have completed at least one full year of college study and have a minimum grade point average of 3.2.

Leading the list of awardees with 14 is the women’s indoor track & field team. Those honored were Sara Ackerman, Sarah Carbiener, Brooke Girly, Robin Kloc, Shiri Leventhal, Danielle Levoit, Sarah Mahran, Lorraine Mull, Alisha Olson, Jubilee Po, Lauren Pringle, Shannon Sodano, Carina Sorenson, and CiCi Stevens.

Twelve members of the women’s swimming & diving team were honored: Stella Ahdoot, Rachel Bergman, Alissa Cantone, Grace Cretcher, Erin Fitzsimmons, Francoise Janik, Meredith Lewis, Amber Niemczyk, Erika Norris, Elizabeth Parker, Abigail Penn, and Jessica Yuen.

The 12 members of the men’s fencing team that were honored are Dimitri Apostol, Adam Fettig, Jonathan Gorman, Brian Haines, Christopher Harrison, Colin Hartman, Matthew Lutz, Andrew Magee, Curtis Pursell, Harrison Richer, Gabriel Sinkin, and Benjamin Stowe.

Eleven members of the women’s basketball team were honored: Karen Bachman, Shannon Costello, Sarah Frazier, Katie Higier, Stephanie Huhn, Chantal Kazay, Olivia Keil, Sarah Rabinovich, Adrienne Rochetti, Stephanie Ryba, and Rachel Wojdowski.

The nine members of the men’s swimming & diving team honored were: Kyle Anderson, Carl Critz, Matt Cull, Jesse Dorigo, John Keyes, Egor Lazebnik, David Osborne, Abram Paley, and George Rahal.

Nine members of the women’s fencing team were honored: Suzette Bishop, Greta Daniels, Rivkah Gold, Jean Goto, Shanna Lafferty, Priya Narayanan, Kristen Wentrcek, Lauren Willock, and Yong Li Lilia Wu Fang.

There were eight members of the men’s basketball team honored: Matt Basford, Tyler Boehm, Steve Brodzinski, Chael Clark, Jeff Gilkerson, Nathan Hopkins, Bobby Serafin, and Alex Sprinzen.

The seven members of the wrestling team that were honored are: Lee Dugan, Joseph Esposito, Eugene Kobilansky, Brett Milgrim, William St. Pierre, Mark Staron, and Sam Thorner.

Five members of the men’s indoor track & field team were honored: Michael Fuld, Howah Hung, Dan Moschella, John Mummolo, and Dan Schwartzman.
