From September 2007 through August 2008 Asset Management donated a total of 1253 items to not-for-profit organizations and schools. These are items that NYU Departments no longer need and could not be recycled within the University. In addition to various items such as file cabinets, chairs, desks, tables, bookcases, typewriters, projectors, and scanners, 55 computers and 24monitors.

Before donations can be made, Asset Management verifies the not-for-profit status with the appropriate government documentation provided. This process begins with a Donation Request Form which can be found on our website, www.nyu.edu/asset. In addition, we have all organizations sign a waiver of liability form.
