From September 2006 through August 2007 Asset Management donated a total of 623 items to not-for-profit organizations and schools. These are items that NYU Departments no longer need and could not be recycled within the University. In addition to various items such as file cabinets, chairs, desks, tables, bookcases, typewriters, projectors, and scanners, the donations comprised a total of 132 computers and 47 monitors.

Before donations can be made, Asset Management verifies the not-for-profit status with the appropriate government documentation provided. This process begins with a Donation Request Form which can be found on our website, www.nyu.edu/asset. In addition, we have all organizations sign a waiver of liability form.
