Not-for-Profit Donation Summary 2005-2006

From September 2005 through August 2006 Asset Management donated a total of 468 items to not-for-profit organizations and schools. These are items that NYU Departments no longer need and could not be recycled within the University. In addition to various items such as file cabinets, chairs, desks, tables, bookcases, typewriters, projectors, and scanners, the donations comprised a total of 57 computers, 44 monitors, 26 keyboards and 5 printers.

The diverse group of not-for-profit organizations that received donations were:

  • Divine Union Children Center
  • Union Renewal Corp.
  • Visiting Neighbors
  • Washington Irving High School
  • YBH of Passaid Hillel

Before donations can be made, Asset Management verifies the not-for-profit status with the appropriate government documentation provided. This process begins with a Donation Request Form which can be found on our website, www.nyu.edu/asset. In addition, we have all organizations sign a waiver of liability form.
