The Mission of the Astronomy Club to generate interest in science and to increase knowledge of astronomy through the discussion of current astrological events, by attending observations held at local parks in Manhattan or surrounding boroughs as well as planetariums. We will invite guest speakers to our meetings, participate in community events on astronomy, give a ten minute talk on a topic of our interest within the semester, and publish our research in the Eyepiece Newsletter (The official newsletter of the National Amateur Astronomers Association).
