Welcome!
The Liberal Studies Student Council is the voice of the students within Liberal Studies. They work closely with the Liberal Studies administration to ensure that Liberal Studies students' needs are being addressed. The Student Council Executive Board is comprised of students from both the Core Program and Global Liberal Studies. The Council organizes and plans free activities throughout the academic year. The Council plans a variety of events such as Broadway shows, movie nights, free dinners, the end-of-the-year celebration, and community service, among other activities. Every year the Student Council polls the student body and awards a Liberal Studies professor with the Students' Choice Excellence in Teaching Award. The Liberal Studies Student Council also plays an active role in welcoming new students every fall to the Washington Square campus.
