Ananya Mukherjea is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York. She has worked with the Asian/Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV and AIDS (APICHA) in New York as an interpreter and advocate for Bengali-speaking clients and as an outreach and education worker with young South Asians. She has taught at Queens College-CUNY.
