Ma. Cristina Martinez-Juan has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She has researched indigenous cultural communities in the Philippines and completed her dissertation on the Eskayas of Bohol. She taught at the University of the Philippines, and Cebu College for a number of years before moving to the States where she worked with Red Burns, chair of the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU. Currently, she is an associate producer for FMNOn-line, a web-based educational site.
