Luis H. Francia is the author of the semiautobiographical Eye of the Fish: A Personal Archipelago - winner of the 2002 PEN Open Book Award. Other books include The Arctic Archipelago and Other Poems; Memories of Overdevelopment; and, as editor, Brown River, White Ocean: Twentieth Century Philippine Literature in English. He is also coeditor, with Angel Velasco Shaw, of Vestiges of War: The Philippine-American War and the Aftermath of an Imperial Dream 1899-1999.
