NYU in London

Alumnus and London resident Shahriar Farrokhzadeh (SCPS ’97, STERN ’99) won an NYU sweatshirt at the NYU in London reception on October 22nd. Held in historic Bedford Square at the home of NYU in London, the newest NYU study abroad center, the event was jointly hosted by Adrienne Rulnick, director of university alumni relations, and professor David Hillel-Ruben, director of NYU in London. Over 50 alumni attended and were treated to the inaugural screening of the new NYU alumni video, a beautiful tribute to both our alumni and the University.

NYU Visits Atlanta

NYU made a trip to the Peachtree State last October when an event was held at the Wyndham Atlanta as part of the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting. Jo Ivey Boufford, dean of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, hosted the reception, and spoke to assembled alumni, parents, and friends about the state of the University, particularly in light of the events of September 11th. Pictured at right (l-r) enjoying the reception are alumni Barbara Pyle (GSAS ’73) and Daji Kuweza (ED ’73).

NYU in Florida

College of Arts and Science Dean Matthew Santirocco was the featured speaker at an event for alumni and friends at the Morikami Museum in Delray Beach, Florida in February. The event included a screening of the NYU alumni video, a tour of the historic museum and gardens, and a presentation by Alan Shapiro, NYU director of gift planning.
