A Special Message from
the NYU Alumni Association

At this difficult time for our nation, our state, and our city, we know there are many alumni affected on a very personal level by the tragic events of September 11th. All the members of the NYU community join me in offering condolences to those who have lost loved ones, friends and associates.

You will have recently received a letter from Dr. Oliva detailing the important contributions students, faculty, staff and alumni have made to the relief effort. After reading this letter, I am confident that you will share my overwhelming pride in alma mater. We have received warm messages from alumni around the world, and Dr. Oliva and our administration are grateful for them.

I also want to share with you that the Office of Alumni Relations has been working since the tragedy as a resource to alumni and their families during this difficult time. I encourage you to keep up with our website, www.nyu.edu/alumni, for additional news and information.

In closing, I extend to you both my sorrow and sympathy, but also the knowledge that, more than ever, we remain committed to our students, the future alumni of New York University.

Sincerely,

Stanley C. Lesser
President, New York University Alumni Association
