Black Boys and Men: Changing the Narrative
The Black Boys & Men: Changing the Narrative podcast series (out of NYU’s McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy & Research at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work) brings together thought leaders from the public and private sectors to analyze stereotypes and dispel myths concerning Black boys and men, while providing facts and best practices for those working with these often marginalized populations.
The series calls into question issues of systemic racism and oppression and provides concrete steps to prevent and address many of the issues that disproportionately affect Black boys and men, including health disparities, incarceration, trauma, and violence.
5% and Falling
Produced by NYU’s College of Global Public Health, 5% and Falling explores the public health crises that are threatening our families, our communities, and our collective future… and the people who have devoted their careers to analyzing, uncovering, and inventing new solutions.
From NYU’s Center for Global Spiritual Life, Multifaithful is a podcast about the impact of religious diversity on our religious and spiritual identities.
The podcast explores how people of different religious traditions have experienced spiritual growth through their relationships with people from other faiths, and how multifaith dialogue and engagement is an essential part of life in the 21st century. Whether it be in academics, politics, literature or sports, grappling with religion, spirituality and multifaith experiences will continue to shape who are as individuals and as a society. Previous guests include Chelsea Clinton, NYU President Emeritus John Sexton, and NYU faith leaders Imam Latif and Rabbi Sarna.
Stern Chats is an MBA student-run podcast founded by Sheri Holt (STERN ’18) and Frank Varrichio (STERN ’18), and runs in affiliation with the Stern Opportunity, the graduate student newspaper at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
