1,467 hours, 41 sites

More than 490 NYU alumni dedicated 1,467 hours at 41 sites to various service projects in support of NYU Alumni Global Day of Service, making an estimated economic impact of $34,500.  

75,037 Applicants

NYU received a record-shattering 75,037 applicants for first-year admission for the Class of 2022—more than any other private college or university in the United States. The University’s acceptance rate dropped to 19%, making NYU 2022 the most selective and diverse class in the University’s history.  

10 NYU Alumni Changemakers

Ten NYU alumni were selected for the inaugural class of NYU Alumni Changemakers, leveraging their creativity and entrepreneurial vision for the greatest good.
 

Five Honorees

Five alumni were honored at this year’s NYU Alumni Awards: Lee Morin (GSAS '78, '82, MED '81), George S. Barrett (STERN ’88), Anthony Foxx (LAW ’96), Lindsey Ferrentino (TSOA ’09), and Billy Rosa (TSOA ’04, MEYERS ’09). 

$1,119,638, One Day

Nearly 3,500 donors raised $1,119,638 during NYU’s annual day of giving, NYU One Day.
 

186th Commencement

At the 186th Commencement, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau challenged our newest alumni with a question, “Do you want to win an argument, or do you want to change the world?"
