• Interested in starting an Alumni Club? Before you get started, be sure to check out our current list of regional and affinity clubs to see if one already exists.
  • To establish a new Regional or Affinity Alumni Club, prospective volunteers must complete the Application to Create an NYU Alumni Club. Recognition will be based upon criteria such as the number of alumni who express interest in leading these efforts, and, in the case of regional clubs, the number of alumni currently living in the area.
  • Once completed, the application shall be submitted to the appropriate staff partner listed on page 3 of the application; staff partners will follow up with prospective volunteers to garner any additional information necessary for the application to be evaluated.
  • Upon staff partner review, the NYU Alumni Club Application is then reviewed by the NYU Alumni Association (NYUAA) Volunteer Leadership Outreach Committee.
  • Members of the NYUAA Volunteer Leadership Outreach Committee include existing Regional and Special Interest alumni club volunteers.
  • The NYUAA Volunteer Leadership Outreach Committee meets in the fall; winter; spring; and summer.
  • If the NYUAA Volunteer Leadership Outreach Committee approves said application, a resolution for club recognition is submitted to the NYU Alumni Association Board for final approval.
  • The NYU Alumni Association Board meets in the fall; winter; spring; and summer.
  • Only when the NYU Alumni Association Board approves a new club is it eligible for University support.
  • Please note: NYU Alumni Association Board official recognition, and thereby all University resources, may be removed at any time if it is determined that a US, Global, or Special Interest Alumni Club is violating the University‚Äôs policies, procedures, or code of conduct.
