NYU Choral Arts Alumni Club
NYU choral alumni recognize and continue the special camaraderie when individuals unite to create a single artistic voice. We are the unified organization for alumni who sang in any of the groups representing a choral tradition stretching back to 1883 when the original Glee and Mandolin Society was first formed. It continues in the footsteps of the Men’s Glee Club, Women’s Glee Club, Washington Square Chorus, Chapel Choir, School of Education Chorus, Choral Arts Society, and numerous smaller groups through to the current NYU Chorale, Women’s Choir, University Singers, Madrigal Singers, Jazz Choir, and Men’s Glee Club. This encompasses concerts at the great concert halls of New York City (Carnegie, Philharmonic, Avery Fisher) and the capitals of the world (The Caribbean, Canada, Russia, Europe and—most recently—China). In fact, the Alumni Chorus even went on tour to Iceland and Scotland several years ago. Recent activities include:
- The Alumni Chorus
- An Open Sing this Fall as part of Parent and Alumni weekend
- Annual Brunch
- Smaller regional gatherings in NYC and Florida
- Participation in Undergraduate Fall and Spring Concerts
All who have taken part in the choral tradition of New York University are welcome.
Tiffany Chiang (STEINHARDT ’12)

Jeffrey Leeds (HEIGHTS ’68, DEN ’72, WAG ’97), First Vice President
