The Perstare Society is an honorary association celebrating all NYU alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. All alumni reaching their milestone 50th Anniversary year are automatically inducted into the Society. These alumni are the living memory of NYU's great history. They are honored treasures and are an inspiration for the future.
NYU's 177TH COMMENCEMENT WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, 2009.
Because of on-going renovations in Washington Square Park, this year’s Commencement will be held at the new Yankee Stadium. Unfortunately, the traditional Perstare Society Pre-Commencement Breakfast cannot take place at the stadium and stadium regulations will not allow a Commencement procession because it would damage the playing field.
