Africa and the Arab Gulf Relationships Conference
Held on March 3-4, 2009 in Abu Dhabi, UAE
This event sought to examine the modern relationships between Africa and the Arab Gulf through presentations and panel discussions. Panelist presented papers on topics that focused on historic ties, political and economic development, Islamic Law, microfinancing, as well as tourism relations.

Public Lecture: Jacob Zuma
Jacob Zuma, the President of the African National Congress participated in a public lecture where he spoke about South Africa, the role of the government, as well as the role of government in general on the African continent. The event was then followed by a dinner reception for VIP guests at Kimmel in honor of Jacob Zuma.
