New York City: Two Locations, One Great City
There’s no better way to get the inside scoop on what it’s like to be part of the NYU community than hearing straight from the horse’s mouth. Or is that the bobcat’s mouth? Either way, come visit us and learn firsthand from current students why there’s nothing like NYU.
At all of our events, we talk about the full NYU global community, which includes our degree-granting campuses in New York City, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. This helps set the stage for where you might find your fit globally, academically, and personally.
Here are all the ways you can visit campus:
- Information Sessions and Tours
- Transfer Student Information Sessions and Tours
- High School Programs Information Session
- Group Tours
- Class Visits
- Self-Guided Tours

Just about any day of the week, you can visit one of our two New York City locations to meet with undergraduate admissions officers and take a tour led by a current student. Sessions take about two hours and spots fill up fast.
Holiday Hours: The Manhattan and Brooklyn welcome centers will be closed for President's Day from 4pm on Friday, February 17th until 9am on Tuesday, February 21st.
Offered to high schools that want to send a large group to NYU. Includes an information session with an admissions official and a campus tour. Make sure to schedule three weeks in advance.
Talk with student ambassadors at the NYU Welcome Center (see above for address) and get a self-guided tour map, or download a PDF.
Every fall we host open houses for prospective students so they can meet with faculty, undergraduate admissions staff, financial aid officials, and current students. Tours of freshmen residence halls are also available. Dates for our upcoming fall open houses will be announced in summer 2017.
