  1. To make service fun and accessable by picking activities that are relatively local and at convenient times
  2. To increase participation in service events by spreading awareness about important causes
  3. Get Admissions Ambassadors more involved in the community, thus truly making them students 'in and of the city'
  4. Highlight great service work already being done in the Ambassador community by individuals
  5. Collaborate with other supervisors in the Ambassador program to increase the variety and frequency of service trips

FALL 2013

September

  • Cool Roofs- An environmental service opportunity that Ambassadors can participate in during the weekend
  • Bike NY- Participants first have to complete a training cycle and then teach people how to ride a bike in an easy and fun way

October

  • Halloween/Fall card making
  • Stuffing goodie bags to distribute at the Greenwich Village Childrens Halloween Parade

November

  • Volunteering at a local soup kitchen
  • Canned food/clothing drive

SPRING 2014

February

  • Ambassador trip to KEEN- a non-profit organization where Ambassadors will participate in recreational activities with children and young adults that have developmental and physical disabilities

March

  • Ambassador Coin Wars begin! Each platoon competes with each other in a month long competition to raise money for a non-profit organization that is chosen by the winning platoon
  • Month long Free Rice competition

April

  • Tutoring at The GO Project on Saturdays
