As a Spring in New York student, you are allowed to live on campus in one of NYU's residence halls, as space allows. Students may indicate an interest in university housing on the application, but housing for visiting students is not guaranteed for the spring term. All students should prepare to live off-campus in case university housing is not available.
Each one of our residence halls offers a stimulating and supportive environment where you can participate in a vibrant community and take maximum advantage of the unique personal, educational, professional, and cultural opportunities both NYU and New York City have to offer. Spring in New York students will be placed in apartment-style buildings. The apartments have suite-style bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen with appliances. Most residence halls are located approximately 15-30 minutes from historic Washington Square Park, the center of NYU's Greenwich Village campus.
- Housing costs will depend on placement.
- Estimated expense for a double in an apartment-style residence hall: $6,700.00.
24 Hour Security Stations in each Residence Hall
Some students opt for apartment-style residences that include a kitchen, while others have traditional residence hall suites
Single rooms are limited on campus, so it's not uncommon for a student to opt to live with one or even two roommates
Residence halls have a resource center where students can pick up mail and get information about services and activities.
Students should consider a meal plan to eat in on-campus dining facilities, including dining locations in many of the residence halls. Dining halls are not open, or have limited hours, during January and Summer terms.
There are lounges and common areas in each residence hall for movie nights, study group meetings, and socializing.
Students live in with roommates in one- or two-bedroom suites
