Housing and Resources

Visiting students enrolled in January Term are eligible to live on campus in one of NYU's residence halls, as space allows. Students may indicate an interest in university housing on the application, but housing for visiting students is not guaranteed for the January term. All students should prepare to live off-campus in case university housing is not available.

Each one of our residence halls offers a stimulating and supportive environment where you can participate in a vibrant community and take maximum advantage of the unique personal, educational, professional, and cultural opportunities both NYU and New York City have to offer. January Term students will be placed in apartment-style buildings. The apartments have suite-style bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen with appliances. Most residence halls are located approximately 15-30 minutes from historic Washington Square Park, the center of NYU's Greenwich Village campus.

For more information on January Term Housing, please visit the website.

Housing Costs

  • Housing costs will depend on placement.
  • Estimated expense for a double in an apartment-style residence hall: $873.
