We continue to be grateful to the generous support of our community who, over the past month, supported thousands of relief fund awards to NYU graduate and undergraduate students resulting in excess of $6,000,000 in grants distributed to students with immediate financial needs due to COVID-19. The Federal CARES Act funding designated for NYU has yet to be received. If and when NYU takes possession of the funds, the University is committed to using all the money it receives for direct student assistance, including continuing the COVID-19 emergency grant program through the rest of the spring, the summer, and the fall for students with financial need.

The NYU COVID-19 RELIEF GRANT is established to help support hardships you might be experiencing such as:

  • Academic supplies
  • Internet access and technology expenses
  • Other expense associated with inaccessibility of university facilities and services

The process to apply is simple and open to all students - undergraduate and graduate - with priority for those who have filed for and received financial aid. Students must be enrolled in the semester for which they apply. Students apply for the NYU COVID-19 RELIEF GRANT following the process below.
