Working closely with their academic mentors, Yenching Scholars are granted the flexibility to create their own study paths by choosing from six academic concentrations.

  • Philosophy and Religion
  • Literature and Culture
  • Law and Society
  • History and Archaeology
  • Economics and Management
All admitted students receive the Yenching Scholarship, which covers tuition, accommodation in the Yenching Academy House, a travel stipend for one round-trip journey to and from Beijing, basic medical insurance, and a living stipend adequate to cover campus living costs and expenses related to field studies.

Note: The Yenching Scholars Program application does not require NYU university endorsement. Interested students are encouraged to meet with an advisor in the Office of Global Awards once they begin their application.
