Sessions will take place at NYU campus facilities in New York. A long term goal is to expand the pilot program to other NYU locations.
The last day to submit applications was Friday, June 13, 2014 by 12:00pm noon EST. The application period for the 2014-2015 program has closed, and we are no longer accepting applications.
Each applicant must secure two letters of recommendation.
One letter should be from an NYU faculty or staff member, and may be a faculty or staff member based at any of NYU portal campuses or study away sites.
The second letter should be from a peer. This may be a fellow NYU student, or it may be another peer with whom you have worked at another educational institution, club or organization, service opportunity, or any other activity.
Please ask your recommenders to submit an online Recommendation Form. Recommenders will be required to upload a Microsoft Word or PDF file addressing the following:
Applicants must be currently matriculated NYU rising sophomores or juniors, in good academic standing and good judicial standing. Applicants must have sophomore or junior status at the start of the Fall 2014 semester.
You must be enrolled in New York City for the academic calendar Fall 2014 - Spring 2015 to be eligible to apply. The NYU Leadership Fellows program is a year-long intensive leadership development opportunity.
No, it is not an automatic excuse. Required program dates are scheduled on Friday mornings to avoid conflict with classes and other academic requirements. Please review the required program dates carefully to anticipate future conflicts and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a conflict, preferably before you apply. It is up to the participant to work with the Leadership Initiative to manage conflicts between academic requirements and required NYU Leadership Fellows Program dates.
