Half-day events to expose our faculty, graduate students, and researchers to the basic activities of commercializing research via a startup venture

Who should attend these events?

Startup Bootcamps are open to faculty and researchers (including PhDs and Post-Docs) across NYU. The target audience is individuals or teams from the NYU community who are interested in creating a startup venture based on their research or inventions or simply learning more about entrepreneurship.

No prior business or startup experience is necessary.

The agenda below is an example of a typical bootcamp.

  •   Introduction: 30 mins
  •   Business Model Development & Validation: 1 hr 15 mins
  •   IP 101-Working with OIL: 45 mins
  •   Break: 15 mins
  •   Funding 101-Venture Capitalists & Non-dilutive: 30 mins
  •   Resources at NYU: 30 mins
  •   Entrepreneurs Fireside Chat: 30 mins
  •   Networking Reception: 1 hr
