Scientific Entrepreneurs Society

SES is a club for PhDs and Post-Docs from across NYU who are interested in learning more about entrepreneurship and commercializing their research. The group holds monthly events including lectures from guest speakers, mixers, and workshops, all accompanied by opportunities for networking. Events are casual and food and beverages are included.

SES was created with the intention to bringing greater awareness and accessibility to the resources provided by NYU for graduate level students who have a desire to learn about launching or working for a startup. It is also a great way to meet other researchers with diverse backgrounds from around NYU who are interested in working at or building a startup.

Who can join?

The Scientific Entrepreneurs Society is open to all PhDs and Post-Docs from all NYU schools.

No prior experience with entrepreneurship or research commercialization is required.
