POLICY

Recruitment/Posting Waivers

To attract the most qualified and diverse set of applicants for a particular job opening, NYU’s policy is to recruit affirmatively for the opening by posting through our online application system.

In some cases it may be appropriate to request a waiver of the policy to post a job opening.

Approval of waiver requests:

  • All requests to waive postings must be approved by the Deputy Director of Talent, Learning and Organizational Development.
  • A waiver request can be written in the Job Requisition.
  • The Compensation Office must also approve the hiring salary if it is outside the established compensation guidelines.
