Object Codes

All jobs at NYU are grouped into broad job families, based on the type of work performed. Each broad category is identified by an object code, which is used for human resources and budget purposes. The Compensation Office is responsible for the following object codes:

  • 100/110 (administrative & professional positions)
  • 106/116 (office/clerical positions)
  • 104/114 (laboratory/technical positions)
  • 107/117 (service positions)
  • 115 (part-time, temporary positions)
