Change to Lower Ranked Position

  • I. Voluntary Transfer:
    • Employees who request a voluntary transfer to a lower level position may have their salary adjusted to reflect the current market rate of the new position, internal equity, quality of performance, and the University's ability to pay.
  • II. Involuntary Transfer:
    • As a result of changes in organizational structure, funding, or other factors, individuals may be moved to alternate, perhaps lower level positions within the department or University. When such an involuntary transfer occurs, whereby an employee is moved into another position as a result of an organizational restructuring or related situation, title and salary will be reviewed in accordance with the structure of the new department.
