A key element of NYU’s Compliance Program is its structure which integrates centralized approval and oversight of the Compliance Program by the Audit and Compliance Committee of the NYU Board of Trustees with decentralized compliance responsibilities resting with compliance officers in the business units and schools, led and managed through University-wide compliance and risk committees by the Vice President and Chief Global Compliance Officer and the Office of Compliance and Risk Management. An overview of this Structure is provided below:
The Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees
The Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees has overall responsibility for oversight of NYU's Compliance Program.
The University Compliance and Risk Steering Committee
Advises the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, and through him the University-wide compliance committees, on reporting on the Compliance Program to the Audit and Compliance Committee of the NYU Board of Trustees and the concerns of top leadership. The Steering Committee Charter can be found here.
Washington Sq. Committees
