MAGNET Attracts NYU's Best Gaming Minds

On October 8, 2013, NYU launched the Media and Games Network (MAGNET), a multi-school facility that brings together faculty from across NYU whose research and teaching bridge technology and culture through the study of games.

For the first time, faculty working in complementary fields at Tisch, Steinhardt, Courant, and NYU-Poly have a collaborative space in which to share resources and forge connections in the study of games as a creative art form, game design, digital media design, computer science, and engineering. Located on the 8th floor of 2 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn, the newly renovated space includes 40,000 feet of offices, studio and work spaces, teaching labs, and common research areas.
