NYU President Andrew Hamilton and Provost Katherine Fleming today named Cecil Scheib to lead the University’s sustainability efforts.
The five-year transformation of a moribund former MTA headquarters building into a major center for technology, emerging media, and the creative arts took its most important step forward as NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) became 370 Jay Street’s first occupant.

According to the annual “Open Doors” study released earlier this week by the Institute of International Education (IIE), New York University ranked No. 1 in both the number of international students studying at NYU and the number of NYU students studying abroad—a standard the University has held in both rankings since 2014.
Last week in Brussels, the European Parliament's Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup hosted NYU's third conference on Race, Racism, and Xenophobia in a Global Context. Members of Parliament and the public heard from NYU faculty and students considering these issues through scholarly discussion and artistic expression
NYU President Andrew Hamilton today named Kenneth Manotti as NYU’s Sr. Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations. He will take up his duties beginning in late August.
