Tisch Photography Faculty Exhibit Goes On Display 9/2


An exhibition of works created by the faculty and staff of the Department of Photography & Imaging at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will open at NYU Tisch on September 2 and run through September 29, 2014. Widely ranging from traditional black-and-white photographs, color photographs, and scholarly publications to net art, video, and other multi-media, the exhibition embraces a wide range of perspectives and media.

An exhibition of works created by the faculty and staff of the Department of Photography & Imaging at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will open at NYU Tisch on September 2 and run through September 29, 2014. Widely ranging from traditional black-and-white photographs, color photographs, and scholarly publications to net art, video, and other multi-media, the exhibition embraces a wide range of perspectives and media.

Photos will be displayed at the Gulf+Western Gallery, located at 721 Broadway (main floor, rear of lobby) and at the Department of Photography & Imaging Gallery, located on the 8th floor of 721 Broadway. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free.

The Department of Photography & Imaging is an intensive four-year BFA program centered on the making and understanding of images. It is a diverse department embracing multiple perspectives. The students work in virtually all modes of analog, digital, and multimedia photo-based image making, exploring photo-based imagery as personal and cultural expression.
