Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Fundraiser Bash, September 26


The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music will celebrate 10 years of educating the next generation of music industry artists and professionals with a fundraising celebration Thursday, September 26, from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Gallow Green at the McKittrick Hotel, Home of Sleep No More at 542 W. 27th Street in Manhattan.

Questlove, former adjunct professor at the Clive Davis Institute and frontman of The Roots, to DJ at the Institute's 10th Anniversary fundraiser, Thursday September 26.

The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music will celebrate 10 years of educating the next generation of music industry artists and professionals with a fundraising celebration Thursday, September 26, from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Gallow Green at the McKittrick Hotel, Home of Sleep No More at 542 W. 27th Street in Manhattan.

Hosted by Fred and Doug Davis, noted philanthropists, entertainment industry leaders and sons of music legend Clive Davis, the event will feature DJ sets by Questlove and Bo Peri and presentations by Clive Davis, Dean Mary Schmidt Campbell, and Chair Jeff Rabhan. All proceeds from the event will go toward funding undergraduate student scholarships.

Founded in 2003 with a grant from Clive Davis, the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music has grown into one of the most prestigious and elite programs for aspiring music professionals in the nation. The program has graduated just shy of 200 students, including Grammy Award nominee singer-songwriter Elle Varner, and counts among its past and present faculty many leaders in the music industry, including Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Desmond Child, Bob Power, Kevin Liles, Dan Charnas, Vivien Goldman, Steve Stoute, just to name a few.

About the NYU Tisch Clive Davis Institute
The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music is the first of its kind to provide professional business and artistic training toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The undergraduate program focuses on providing professional training for students who aspire to succeed as creative entrepreneurs in the music industry. The program bears the name of its chief patron and advisor, Clive Davis.
