Aerospace Corp.’s President Austin to Deliver “Managing Technical Complexity and Creativity in the 21st Century”—April 10

Wanda Austin, president and chief executive officer of the Aerospace Corporation, will deliver the 13th annual Irving H. Jurow Lecture, “The Human Factor: Managing Technical Complexity and Creativity in the 21st Century,” on Tuesday, April 10, 5:30 p.m. in NYU’s Hemmerdinger Hall, Silver Center (100 Washington Square East/enter at 32 Waverly Place or 31 Washington Place).

The Aerospace Corporation has provided independent technical and scientific research, development, and advisory services to national-security space programs since 1960. It operates a federally funded research and development center for the United States Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office and supports all national-security space programs.

Austin earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Franklin & Marshall College, master’s degrees in systems engineering and mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a doctorate in systems engineering from the University of Southern California.

The Irving H. Jurow Lecture is the premier endowed annual event at NYU’s College of Arts and Science. It honors the memory of one of New York University's most distinguished and most generous alumni, Irving H. Jurow, and brings to the university community, under the auspices of the College, leading intellectual and cultural figures.
