Paul Light Discusses His New Book “Driving Social Change” – March 3

In this age of social entrepreneurship, Paul Light, Paulette Goddard Professor of Public Service at NYU Wagner, asks tough questions: Has the role of the social entrepreneur been overly glorified as the primary driver of social breakthrough? What must be done to create the networks that create so many breakthroughs? How does the breakthrough cycle actually work? How do we strengthen the infrastructure that supports social change organizations in their quest?

Professor Light’s new book, “Driving Social Change: How to Solve the World’s Toughest Problems,” (Wiley) is the ultimate introduction to the many steps needed to challenge and replace the prevailing wisdom.

Light will discuss his book on March 3, 2011, starting at 5:30 p.m., at 19 Washington Square North, New York, N.Y.  Ellen Schall, Dean of NYU Wagner, will introduce him. A book-signing reception will follow.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required: Go to http://wagner.nyu.edu/events/newbook-03-03-2011.
