October 24, 2011

There has been a great deal of focus on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Capital Construction Company’s (MTACC) mega-project -- the largest transit construction program in the nation, with over $17 billion dollars invested in expansion and improvement of the New York downstate region’s transportation network.

On Tuesday, October 25, MTACC President Michael Horodniceanu, Ph.D., P.E., will discuss the history, engineering challenges, and progress of MTACC Mega Project’s East Side Access, Second Avenue Subway, 7 West Extension, and Fulton Street Transit Center.

His comments begin at 8:30 a.m. in NYU Wagner’s home in The Puck Building (295  Lafayette Street, at the corner of Houston Street) 2nd Floor, New York, N.Y.  The event, sponsored by the Rudin Center for Transportation Policy and Management, also housed at Wagner, is free and open to the public, and will conclude at 10 a.m.
