New York University will host “NYU Startup Week,” which will include sessions on mobile, web, and clean tech startups, online communities, and fundraising, as well as a job fair, from April 7 through April 15 at different venues at NYU’s Washington Square campus.

NYU Startup Week, now in its third year, celebrates entrepreneurship and innovation in New York City’s tech community and is the flagship event of Tech@NYU, an organization whose mission of is to enable technologists and entrepreneurs at NYU to collaborate and learn from one another.
The week-long event will feature dozens of speakers, opportunities to mingle with fellow technologists, and, in partnership with hackNY, a hackathon, during which student technologists will race to build new applications over a 24-hour period (2 p.m.-2 p.m., April 9-10).
Among the companies represented at this year’s NYU Startup Week are: Forrst, Neighborhoodr, Postling, Etsy, gdgt, OMGPOP, mongoDB, Hard Candy Shell, and foursquare, as well as venture funds including the NYU Innovation Venture Fund, Union Square Ventures, TechStars, and FirstMark Capital.
