NYU’s Taub Center to Host “The 50th Anniversary of the Eichmann Trial—A Look Back,” April 28

New York University’s Taub Center for Israel Studies will host “The 50th Anniversary of the Eichmann Trial—A Look Back,” on Thursday, April 28, 2-6 p.m. at NYU’s King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center (first-floor screening room), 53 Washington Square South (between Thompson and Sullivan Streets).

The symposium will include presentations by: Lawrence Douglas, a professor at Amherst College and author of The Memory of Judgment: Making Law and History in the Trials of the Holocaust (2001) and the forthcoming Reflections on the Glass Booth: A Jurisprudence of Atrocity; David Engel, a professor in NYU’s Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and author of Between Liberation and Flight: Holocaust Survivors in Poland and the Struggle for Leadership, 1944-1946 and In the Shadow of Auschwitz: The Polish Government-in-Exile and the Jews, 1939-1942; Raanan Rein, a professor at Tel Aviv University and author of The Franco-Perón Alliance: Relations between Spain and Argentina, 1946-1955 and Argentina, Israel, and the Jews: Perón, the Eichmann Capture, and After; and Idith Zertal, a professor at Switzerland’s Universität Basel and author of From Catastrophe to Power, Holocaust Survivors and the Emergence of Israel and Israel's Holocaust and the Politics of Nationhood.
