NYU Libraries' Mandel wins ALA’s Hugh C. Atkinson Award

Carol A. Mandel, dean of the division of libraries at New York University, has been named the 2011 winner of the Hugh C. Atkinson Memorial Award. Mandel will receive a cash award and citation at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) Award Program, during the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans.

NYC Homeless Services Commissioner Joins Discussion at NYU Wagner - Feb. 8

New York City’s commissioner of homeless services, Seth Diamond, will participate in a panel discussion on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at NYU Wagner on the problem of homelessness. He will be joined by Dennis Culhane, professor of social welfare policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and Rosanne Haggerty, president and founder of Common Ground.

NYU College of Nursing and NYU School of Medicine Students Begin New Interprofessional Curriculum at NYU3T Kickoff

Over 300 NYU College of Nursing and NYU School of Medicine students came together on the evening of February 2, 2011, to launch the new interprofessional program NYU3T: Teaching, Technology, and Teamwork. This program was developed over a four-year period by co- principalinvestigators Marc Triola, MD, and Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN, with the support of a generous grant from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation.
