Gift from Dentsply Keeps NYUCD in the Vanguard of Implant Dentistry Research

New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) received a gift from Dentsply International of over $450,000 to promote research in implant dentistry. Dentsply International, the company behind such major dental brand names as Caulk, Cavitron, Delton, Dycal, Jeltrate, Lucitone, Midwest, Nupro, Rinn, and Trubyte, is the largest professional dental products company in the world. Dentsply’s gift will be used to further the mission of NYUCD’s implant program, first dental school in the US to teach implant dentistry to predoctoral students.

Four NYU Faculty Finalists for National Book Critics Circle Awards

Four New York University faculty have been named National Book Critics Circle Finalists for its 2010 book awards: Darin Strauss for Half a Life (autobiography); Susie Linfield for The Cruel Radiance: Photography and Political Violence (criticism); Jennifer Homans for Apollo’s Angels: A History of Ballet (nonfiction); and Anne Carson for Nox (poetry).

NYU to Open Biomedical Chemistry Institute with Jan. 28 Symposium
