December 7, 2010

SERVICE NOTICE NYU CAMPUS TRANSPORTATION DECEMBER 2010

Passengers who use the University’s buses, trolleys and Safe Ride vans are now able to determine the location of their vehicle in real time.

Passengers can access nyu.edu/nyutransport from any PC, personal device, or mobile phone with internet connectivity, and the locations of all vehicles that are currently providing service will be shown.

Up to the minute announcements about situations that impact scheduled departure times can also be viewed in real time, thus fewer unwanted surprises when buses are delayed.

If the nyu.edu/nyutransport link is visited from a mobile phone, the site will automatically detect the type of phone (Smartphone or non-Smartphone) and show the most appropriate version of the mobile site.

Passengers with an iPhone that visit the link will automatically be notified that there is a free iPhone app available and be given the appropriate link to the iTunes App Store.

Feedback on this exciting new service is encouraged by completing the feedback form at www.nyu.edu/ride.
