Chaos and Classicism: Art in France, Italy, and Germany, 1918–1936, an exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum guest curated by New York University Art History Professor Kenneth Silver, is the first exhibition in the United States to explore the classicizing aesthetic that followed the immense destruction of World War I.

Silver School of Social Work Celebrates Fifty Years

The commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Silver School of Social Work this year will culminate with the Fiftieth Anniversary Benefit Celebration on November 10, featuring a conversation with NYU President John Sexton, Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Carol Gilligan, followed by cocktails and dinner, with CBS Early Show anchor Harry Smith.
