Author Peter Beinart will deliver a public lecture, “The Failure of the American-Jewish Establishment,” hosted by New York University’s Taub Center for Israel Studies, on Tuesday, September 21, 5:30 p.m. at NYU’s Kimmel Center for University Life, Rosenthal Pavilion, 10th Floor, 60 Washington Square South (at LaGuardia Place).

Beinart is a Schwartz Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation and Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York. He is also senior political writer for The Daily Beast, and a contributor to Time. His first book, The Good Fight: Why Liberals–And Only Liberals–Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again, was published by HarperCollins in 2006. His second book, The Icarus Syndrome: A History of American Hubris, was published by HarperCollins in June 2010.

The Taub Center was established with a gift from the Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation. The gift supports an endowed professorship and two graduate fellowships in Israel Studies, and funds lectures, seminars, scholarly colloquia at the Center, and other special programs for students, faculty, and the community.
