NYU College of Nursing Receives Gates Grant for Innovative Global Health Research

New York University College of Nursing announced today that it has received a $100,000 Grand Challenges Explorations grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant will support an innovative global health research study titled “Enhancing Innate Vaginal Defenses to Reduce the Risk of HIV.” The research will be conducted by Professor Ann Kurth, PhD, CNM, Director of Global Health Initiatives, at a clinic that NYU supports in Mombasa Kenya.

Photographs by David Gilbert Go on View at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts

An exhibition of seven color photographs of sculptures by David Gilbert, the 2009 Tierney Fellowship award recipient from the Department of Photography & Imaging at New York University’s Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, will go on view June 3 at the Tisch School of the Arts.
