NYU Skirball Center and the Big Red Chair Family Series To Present the Juggler Extraordinaire Michael Moschen, Apr. 17, 7:00 pm

New York University’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts will present the juggler extraordinaire Michael Moschen for one-night only on April 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.  Part of the Skirball Center’s Big Red Chair Family Series, his performance promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Moschen’s distinctive artistry combines the magic of light and movement to transcend object manipulation from novelty into a true art form.

Moschen is the only variety artist to have ever received a MacArthur Genius Grant.  His gift is to blend the beauty of art, science, physics, and mathematics into a unique and captivating performance that is suitable for audiences of all ages.

Considered unequaled in the world of juggling, Moschen has performed for audiences around the world at various venues, including theaters, dance festivals, and circuses.  He has been featured on international television and has also appeared in a number of films, including Hair, Annie, and The Labyrinth.  Moschen was commissioned by the Cirque du Soleil to create and stage a brand new work for their permanent theatrical circus at the Treasure Island Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
